Define a Place Shot List

The staircase in the Thomas Hunter Hall is a relatively ominous place thanks to its low-light and cramped space. The art in the staircase however, makes what would otherwise be a scene out of a horror film, a relatively quaint place.

The expressive, colorful, new-age art and poetry make what was once a crack in the wall a place for self-expression and honesty. It provides a strange sense of balance and comfort for those walking through it.

Shot list:
1. Shots that look up or down the staircase allowing for light to flood down the stairs. Conversely, shots where there are not windows present to allow contrast.
2. Pan over colorful pieces of art and then back over to mundane ones.
3. Wide shots of feet shuffling up and down throughout the staircase.
4. A wide shot of from chest or eye level to show a pseudo-first-person view of someone going up or down the staircase framed by the art.
5. Considering dropping something like a pen or a water bottle down the stairs to show motion in the still and creepy setting.
6. I think just as important as it is to capture the art on the walls, it is important to capture any graffiti that was left there as well.
7. Wide shots of the partitions between the staircases that could line up with the grid-lines on the camera.
8. Using the various entrances and exits as establishing shots by panning over them, or showing the camera entering into them.
9. The lights in there are pretty dull and I believe they flicker, so it would probably be a good detail shot to show that.
10. Showing someone actually walking past the camera, and going up the stairs.
