Define a Place Shot List

The staircase in the Thomas Hunter Hall is a relatively ominous place thanks to its low-light and cramped space. The art in the staircase however, makes what would otherwise be a scene out of a horror film, a relatively quaint place. The expressive, colorful, new-age art and poetry make what was once a crack in the wall a place for self-expression and honesty. It provides a strange sense of balance and comfort for those walking through it. Shot list: 1. Shots that look up or down the staircase allowing for light to flood down the stairs. Conversely, shots where there are not windows present to allow contrast. 2. Pan over colorful pieces of art and then back over to mundane ones. 3. Wide shots of feet shuffling up and down throughout the staircase. 4. A wide shot of from chest or eye level to show a pseudo-first-person view of someone going up or down the staircase framed by the art.  5. Artistic Statement

I am an aspiring artist and writer. I aspire to be a traveling journalist, and am currently in hot pursuit of a degree from Hunter College to help me do so. I appreciate the arts as well both written and visual and would love to one day strike some professional balance between these two parts of my life.  Art and writing has always been an important part of my life, even before I knew how to create it.  Art has helped me view the world by letting me learn to deconstruct life and make it into something new and of my liking. When I was younger it helped me get through harder parts of my life and it still does. Its always been like someone I could turn to to make things okay.  Writing helps me story tell.  Ive never been much of a talker, but I love stories, and I love telling them.
